Banana Chocolate Chip Bread with Walnuts

Banana bread is kicked up with the addition of chocolate chips for some sweetness and walnuts for some crunch.

  • Servings: 8-12

Ingredients:

3 Eggs
2 cups Sugar
1½ tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1½ tsp Pure Almond Extract
½ cup Vegetable Oil
½ cup Melted Butter
1 cup Buttermilk
1½-2 cups Mashed Bananas
1½ tsp Salt
1½ tsp Baking Soda
3 cups All Purpose Flour
1½-2 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
½ cup Walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 9 inch loaf pans with nonstick spray. Line the bottom of each pan with parchment paper and flour the bottom and sides of each pan. Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, oil, melted butter, buttermilk, and banana with an electric mixer until mixed well. Add salt, baking soda, flour, chocolate chips, and walnuts, then mix thoroughly. Bake for 40 minutes, covered with foil. Remove foil and bake another 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown, and a toothpick comes out clean.
