Beer Bread


Probably the easiest bread ever to make, the beer adds a very yeasty flavor. Try different styles of beer for different results.



Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sifted/room temp, self-rising flour  
  • 3 T sugar  
  • 1 can/bottle of beer, room temp    

Method

Sift the four and sugar together in a large bowl. Pour in beer and mix thoroughly. Batter will be sticky. Put in greased loaf pan and bake 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees. After the first 20 minutes of baking, brush top of loaf with melted butter. Recipe makes one loaf.
