Buttery Biscuits

These versatile biscuits are great sides for a variety of meals. Serve them with butter and honey to please any guest.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup milk or cream
 
Method

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Using a pastry blender cut in butter. Add milk or cream and stir lightly into the flour mixture with a fork. Turn the dough onto a floured board. Knead lightly for about 1/2 a minute to a minute. Pat to the thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut with a lightly floured biscuit cutter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy!

 

Notes: These are really good with honey!
