Method
In bread machine, mix water, yeast and sugar then let set until it starts to look bubbly. Add egg, oil, and vanilla. Mix salt with flour, add 1 cup of mixture and start bread machine on dough setting. Continue to add flour mixture until it becomes a soft ball and isn't sticky, then let rise. While rising, melt butter in a bowl, mix sugars and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Mix powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and maple flavoring then set aside. When dough has risen, turn out on floured surface and knead. Pinch off into walnut size balls, and using palm of hand, and roll until about 3 inches long. Dip in butter, then in sugar and cinnamon mixture, making into a roll by taking the right side and putting the left side under it to make a knot. Place on pan and repeat until all dough is made into rolls. Let rise, then cook at 350 degreees until done. Using a pastry brush, ice with powdered sugar and milk icing. Better served warm, but can be microwaved to rewarm.
Notes: My family loves this recipe. It is quick and easy and great to take to family get togethers. I have also increased this recipe to use in the facility where I work; residents and employees love them.
