Slices of French bread are spread with a parsley-garlic butter that's been pulsed in the food processor, then heated.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice loaf into 3/4-inch slices, cutting nearly all the way through, then set aside. In a food processor, add butter, garlic and parsley, then pulse until combined. Spread butter lightly on both sides of bread slices. Wrap bread in foil and bake oven 10 minutes. Unwrap foil and let brown 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven and slice through.
I use the grocery store French bread for this--the kind that says "fresh at 4:00." It works really well.
