Iron Skillet Corn Bread

Hot butter is the base for this homemade side dish of cornbread. Simple to prepare and a great addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 2 tsp salt

Method
Combine and mix all ingredients until blended. Preheat oven. While mixing ingredients, put 2 tbsp butter in skillet, and place in oven. Swirl around when butter has melted then add batter. Use a well greased 10 inch heated iron skillet. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cut into pie shaped wedges and serve.
