The creamed corn and sour cream in this recipe make an extra rich and moist corn bread.

  • Servings: 8-10


1 cup Self-rising Corn Meal
2 Eggs
½ tsp Salt
½ cup Canola or Other Vegetable Oil
1 cup Creamed Corn, yellow
1 cup Sour Cream


Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Heat lightly oiled 10-inch cast iron skillet in oven.

Mix all ingredients well and place in hot skillet.

Bake about 20 minutes.

When corn bread separates from the side of the skillet and when a toothpick inserted in center is dry, corn bread is done.

Slice into wedges and serve warm.
