My Oh Mayan Chocolate Muffins

These chocolate muffins are perfect for those early morning chocolate cravings that nothing can seem to cure.
Ingredients
- Streusel:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Muffins:
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line twelve muffin cups with paper baking cups. To prepare streusel, combine all ingredients in medium bowl, mixing well, then set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together butter, eggs, sugar, and sour cream. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Fold dry ingredients into butter mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips. Divide batter among prepared muffin cups. Sprinkle tops with streusel. Bake approximately 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Cool muffins in pans on racks.
