Polish Easter Bread

This loaf of bread contains honey and golden raisins, and is flavored with lemon juice and peel.

Ingredients:

• 3/4 cup warm water
• 1 egg
• 1 T. unsalted butter
• 3 c. flour
• 3 T. half-and-half
• 2 T. honey
• 1/2 cup golden raisins
• Juice of 1 lemon (about 3 Tbsp.)
• Grated zest of 1 lemon
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast

Method

Add ingredients to bread machine in order given. (Set machine to basic cycle or to fruit and nut cycle, if available.) Bake according to manufacturer's instructions.

Notes: Makes a 1 1/2 lb. loaf
