|¾ cups||Warm Water|
|1 pkg||Rapid-rise Yeast|
|1||Egg, slightly beaten|
|2 cups||All-purpose Flour|
|¾ cup||Butter, softened (or as needed|
|2 tsp||Cinnamon, or to taste|
|1 cup||Powdered Sugar|
Dissolve yeast in water; stir in sugar and let proof (stand) for a few minutes. Add oil and egg, then mix in flour and salt. Dough will be sticky. Mix well with a spoon. Turn out onto a floured surface. Knead a few times.
Roll out to a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. Spread with desired amount of butter; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and slice into 6 slices.
Butter a cake pan liberally. Place rolls in pan, cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake another 15 minutes or until done.
Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough water to make of glazing consistency. Pour over rolls as soon as removed from oven. Transfer glazed rolls to a platter.
This recipe can be doubled to make 12 rolls.
