Stuffed French Toast Bread

The flavors of French toast with apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans and maple extract, are present in this bread machine loaf.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup milk
• 1 tsp. maple extract
• 2 tbsp. butter, melted
• 3 cups bread flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 2 tsp. active dry yeast
• 2 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 cup dried apples, cut into small pieces
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
• 1/2 cup cinnamon chips
• 2 tbsp. nonfat dry milk powder
• 1/2 cup maple syrup

Method

Place all ingredients in bread machine's fully assembled pan; select basic or white cycle. When fully baked remove pan from bread machine and let cool about 10 minutes before turning out and allowing loaf to fully cool.

Notes: This smells so good as it's cooking. The whole house smells wonderful! If you have a programmable bread machine, this makes a great breakfast bread--ready for you when you wake up!
