Sweet White Bread

This bread machine recipe contains granulated sugar, egg, margarine (or butter) and milk, to add sweetness and richness to the dough.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Method
Add ingredients to bread machine in order recommended by manufacturer. Select sweet bread setting and light crust. Makes 12 servings.
Notes: This bread can't be beat for a simple, everyday loaf that is perfect for breakfast toast, peanut-butter sandwiches, and a dough that also makes into nice dinner rolls. It's slightly sweet and rich from milk and egg. I sometimes make several loaves a week, as they often get eaten before they're even cool!
